An inlay is a filling made in the dental laboratory. It is constructed from belleglass, or an equivalent material, and is strong and very natural looking.

The dentist will prepare the tooth and take an impression. A temporary filling is then put into the tooth. After a week or two the inlay will then have been constructed and is ready for fitting.

Inlays last longer than white fillings and are recommended for larger cavities.
